Maureen kindly booked us into the hotel in Richmond which seems to be the only place open once the day tourists have left and which was consequently very busy. She also made breakfast for us at an earlier time slot than usual as we were catching a reasonably early flight that morning. And she even cooked the famous blueberry pancakes for us!! The b and b is so handy for the Hobart Airport which makes it an excellent place to stay. We loved everything about it and highly recommend it. More

Yet the character and feel of the cottage has remained intact. Our host Maureen made us feel very welcome and very much at home. Every morning we enjoyed a continental breakfast with a selection of cereals, fruits, and toast. In addition Maureen served her own delicious pikelets/pancakes every morning, which I greedily devoured. Maureen also gave us some good tips on where to eat and places to visit. Maureen was a very accomodating host, and nothing was to much trouble, which was reflected in Reid’s Cottage. Cosy, comfortable, clean and everything you would want. Because of it’s age and heritage restrictions, there is no sink in the little kitchenette, but we didn’t miss that. Easy walking distance to the Main Street and shops. In relation to Richmond itself, very old and historic, with many old buildings to admire. Overall a great stay, thank you Maureen. We will miss our morning chats.
